The Dangtrippers formed in Iowa in the late 80's and released two great albums "Days Between Stations" and "Transparent Blue Illusion". The former featured the great Devin Hill and is a mid west pop masterpiece. After Devin left the band, they continued and recorded their sophmore album which was only released in Australia in 1992. A little more dark but is still full of harmony rich pop songs.
